THE SILENT OF LUNG CANCER: NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER WITH METASTASIS

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) about 80–85% case of lung cancer cases. Here we present a case of young adult female woman 41 years old. She was recently diagnosis as non-small cell lung cancer with squamous cell carcinoma with metastasis at 15/4/23 from 2nd time bronchoscopy biopsy result. Before the incident she dints have any symptoms of cough and weight loss. Past medical history she had hypertension on medication and follow in Hospital. She also had cholesterols not on medication but on diet control only. She also had uterine fibroid under follow up care in Hospital. 1st she presenting pain at the back lumbar site and went to ortho clinic to see DR medication was prescribe to the patient. After second week the pain become increases and radiated to the right lumbar with right arm, she having numbness and tingling sensation and slowly loss of power at the lower limbs. She was done x-ray, CT TAP and MRI. She was under palliative management such as strong opioid, single dose radiotherapy, Adjuvant therapies, antidepressants, antiepileptic drugs and steroids to resolve the problem. Biopsies bronchoscopy confirmed is non- small cell lung cancer under squamous with metastasis. As clinicians, sometimes we do not pay attention to young patients with nonspecific complaints. This case clearly reflects the importance of proper evaluation of symptoms even though there is low clinical suspicion.
