1. Introduction
Welcome to Jomedit (the “Platform”). We are dedicated to providing a secure and trustworthy marketplace for digital products. By accessing and using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service (the “ToS”). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
2. Acceptance of Terms
You acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these ToS. Your use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of these terms.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the Platform, you may be required to create a user account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process and to keep your account credentials confidential.
4. Intellectual Property Protection
We understand the importance of protecting your intellectual property. As a seller on our platform, you retain full ownership of the intellectual property rights to your digital products. We are committed to taking the necessary measures to prevent unauthorized access, reproduction, or resale of your digital products.
5. Platform Security Measures
The Platform employs state-of-the-art security measures to safeguard your digital products. These measures include, but are not limited to, encryption, digital rights management (DRM), and user authentication protocols. Our goal is to provide you with the assurance that your products are safe from theft or unauthorized distribution.
6. Prohibited Activities
Users are strictly prohibited from engaging in activities that involve the theft, unauthorized reproduction, or resale of digital products. Violations of this policy will result in immediate account termination and legal action if necessary.
7. Reporting Unauthorized Activity
We encourage sellers to report any suspected unauthorized activity promptly. Our dedicated support team will investigate and take appropriate action to address any infringements on your intellectual property.
8. Termination of Accounts
User accounts found to be involved in unauthorized activities will be terminated. Consequences of account termination may include the removal of listed digital products and forfeiture of any outstanding payments.
9. Dispute Resolution
Disputes related to the protection of intellectual property will be treated with the utmost priority. The Platform is committed to resolving such disputes promptly and fairly.
10. Commission Rate
Jomedit will apply a commission rate of 10% for each sale of your digital products. This means that for every successful transaction, 10% of the sale amount will be deducted as our platform fee. Here’s a simple example:
- If you sell an ebook for RM100, the commission deducted by Jomedit will be RM10 (10% of RM100), and you will receive RM90 as your earnings.
Transaction Fee: We want to clarify that the transaction fee incurred when a buyer purchases your product is fully covered by the buyer. As a seller, you won’t be charged for the transaction fee. This ensures that your earnings are not impacted by the buyer’s payment processing.
11. Changes to Terms
The Platform reserves the right to update or modify these ToS. Users will be informed of such changes, and continued use of the Platform after changes constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These ToS are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia Copyright Act 1987 . Any legal action or proceeding related to the Platform shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Malaysia.
